Design Builders allow you the homeowner, an option of having your custom home designed and built by your general contractor. I have spent many years personally designing concepts that blend with various sceneries throughout California. ThorDBD takes your visions and dreams to our design studio, and develops plans and specifications which can then be approved by your respective planning agencies. This process gives both you and your builder the ability to make changes without having to wait for approval from an outside architect.
We have helped to design and execute some of the most breath taking concepts in architecture within Southern California. Santa Barbara and San Diego boast some of the most beautiful and breathe taking scenery that one could imagine.
We do our utmost to ensure that your vision becomes a reality with a sound building and execution plan tailored to our clients’ desires.
We will spend many hours with you in discussing your design requests so that we can then use our tools to come up with a visual version in plan format, as well as, a 3-D visual depiction of your home. It can be quite exciting to actually see what your final product will look like before you even begin building. Your concept is then transferred to paper plans with specifications that will be reviewed and approved by your local building department. Once approved, permits can be issued so that building can begin.
